How to use the TIME MACHINE:

Step 1:

Watch this Instagram reel that explains what we’re trying to do.
(if you haven’t already seen it)

Step 2:

Choose an image from below, then long tap / right-click until you see “Download image.” Choose that option to save it to your downloads folder.

Step 3:

Now that your image is inside your downloads folder, open Instagram and tap the “+” button. Swipe until “reel” is selected, then tap the camera.

Step 4:

Next to the big round record button, there’s the “green screen” icon. Tap it. Above you will see “change background.” Tap that, then tap “Gallery” to find the image you selected in the previous step. When you see the SXSW image in the background and yourself in the foreground, you are ready. Take a deep breath and tap the background to make the gallery go away.

Step 5:

CLOSE YOUR EYES and REPEAT the following phrase 3 times…

‘I THINK I AM AT SXSW’

‘I THINK I AM AT SXSW’

‘I THINK I AM AT SXSW’

Step 6:

OPEN YOUR EYES and hit RECORD. If your body outline doesn’t look right, move around so your IRL background is more similar to a green screen.

(which is why they call this method “green screen”).
